Three French rules published over the summer and early autumn bear directly on what you train in-house. None of them made any noise. Here they are, with what they change.
The professional review becomes the career-path review
A first review within the year following the hire, then every 4 years instead of 2. The summary review moves from 6 to 8 years. Since 1 October 2026 the law applies to collective agreements already in force: any interval longer than 4 years lapses.
What it changes. The formal meeting where skills were reviewed now comes round less often. The initiative moves to you.

Qualiopi moves to 33 indicators on 1 November
The 7 criteria are unchanged; the national quality framework goes from 32 to 33 indicators. Thirteen existing indicators are amended, eleven of them strengthened in substance. There is no transition period.
What it changes. If you buy training, your provider will have more to prove. If you run a certified in-house body, the deadline is eight weeks away.

France Travail is pruning its training catalogue
Since 1 September 2026, a course has to meet six cumulative criteria to stay listed and fundable. Courses that fall short can be removed with no transition period. Decisions to exclude have to state their grounds.
What it changes. External funding is tightening. Which shifts the weight onto what you produce in-house.

The figure for this issue
48% of manufacturing recruitment plans are rated difficult by the employers themselves.
Out of 211,000 plans declared in 2026. Recruiting remains the slowest variable, and the one you control least. What happens before an expert leaves is far more within reach.

A hire depends on the market, on a local labour pool, on an age pyramid. Capturing what an expert knows how to do depends on nothing but a decision.
Three rules, one direction: external funding is closing up and the demand for proof is rising. What stays entirely within your control is what your experts already know how to do, and the moment you decide to capture it.
